Purple Paper Plate Cat

Carrying on with our colour theme today we made a purple cat this craft was inspired by one of Neevah's favourite books. I will be linking this up with stART : A Story + Art = A Great Start you can find out more about it here.

Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See by Bill Martin Jr
The repetitive text and colourful pictures in this book make it a hit with my kids as you turn each page you are introduced to a new Animal and Colour. Neevah likes this book so much she has it memorised and will read it to Liam if he sits still long enough for her.

You will need
Paper Plate
Black Paper
Wiggly Eyes
Purple Markers
Black Marker or Crayon

To Make
1 .Cut to ears from your paper plate and remove the rest of the plates edge so it looks like the below photo

2 . Cut a nose and whiskers out of black paper
3 .Colour the cat purple - I bundled 3 purple markers together with a rubber band just for something a little bit different she coloured most of the cat face with the bundled markers but asked for just 1 marker when she started colouring the ears
4 .Glue on the Eyes, Nose and Whiskers
5 .Draw on a mouth with black marker
