Childrens Art Memory Game

Kids are always so proud of every piece of art they create but there is only so much room on the fridge to display it all so let them create repetitive pieces of art and turn them into a Memory Game. This would work great for older children who can draw the same picture more than once but also works for younger children if you use patterns that are easy to create over and over giving similar outcomes.

You will need
Paper
Paint
Cotton Bud / Q-tip
Paintbrush
Cookie Cutter
Cardboard - I used the backing from a Pad of Paper
Glue

To Make
1 .Cut the piece of paper into thirds
2 .On each piece of paper get your child to paint a different pattern

A Blue Mono Coloured Painting - we also did one in yellow

Cookie Cutter Stamping

Cotton Bud Dots

3 .Let Dry
4 .Cut the Cardboard to however big you would like your memory cards to be
5 .Cut the artwork to the size of your cards and glue it one
6 .Have fun playing Memory :)

No Match!

Thanks Deborah - I can see us adding more patterns to the game as time goes by :)

Another great memory game idea is printed out photos of people in the family. I use to do it as a get to know each other game with my pre-school class but have thought about trying it with Mr almost 3 with family/friends photos. Thanks for the inspration
