We always seem to have lots of junk mail in our recycling bin and it was about time we did something useful with it. Cutting out pictures from junk mail or magazines is great scissors practice and great for colour, number or letter recognition.
You Will Need
Junk Mail or Magazines
Marker Pens in a few different colours
1 .Go through the junk mail identify colours and then cut them out - we both did this together and I also had to trim a few of the pictures so they would fit in the columns2 .Divide your paper up into columns - we needed 7 columns
3 .Mark the bottom of each column with a colour so your child can match it to the pictures they found in the junk mail
3 .Glue the pictures from the junk mail into the correct columns4 .Count how many pictures are in each column and record the number at the top
